About CRACAD

GCP training that matches the job you actually do

CRACAD, the Clinical Research Academy, builds Good Clinical Practice courses for the people who review, run and monitor clinical trials in India.

Why role-based?

An ethics committee member, an investigator, a study coordinator and a monitor all work to the same principles, but they make very different decisions every day. Generic GCP courses tend to cover everything at the same depth for everyone. We start with a shared foundation and then spend most of each course on the duties, documents and judgement calls of one role.

That is why we offer 4 separate courses rather than one:

How we write our courses

  • Three primary sources only. Every lesson is based on ICH E6(R3), the New Drugs and Clinical Trials Rules 2019 and the ICMR National Ethical Guidelines 2017.
  • Precise citations. Lessons point to the exact rule, section, schedule or table they rely on, so you can check the original.
  • Indian context first. Where Indian law adds to or differs from the international guideline, we say so plainly.
  • Practice, not just reading. Case scenarios, workshops and a graded capstone ask you to apply what you have learned to realistic situations.
  • Kept current. Courses are versioned and reviewed when the underlying documents change.

Our independence

CRACAD is an independent training provider. We are not affiliated with, approved by or acting on behalf of ICH, the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) or the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). Completing a CRACAD course shows that you have studied and been assessed on GCP; it does not by itself satisfy any training requirement that a regulator or institution may specify. Check with your institution or sponsor about which training they accept.

Our sources

Lessons cite these three documents and nothing else.
